Help with Registration

I need a step-by-step guide.

Here are two guides for the SCOE online registration system. If you have trouble accessing these documents or need additional help, please contact Bob Herbstman through the SCOE Help Desk at helpdesk@scoe.org.
How to register yourself for a class
How to register another person or group of people

I don’t have a login or password.

To register for a SCOE class, you must have a SCOE account with a login and password. To set up an account, complete this form and click on the Submit button at the bottom of the page.

  • Note for NCSOE teachers and support providers:
SCOE and the North Coast School of Education (NCSOE) share the same account login system. If you already have an NCSOE account, you can use the same login and password at the SCOE website.

I’m not sure if I have an account.

If you're not sure if you already have an account, of if you think you do and you can't find it, please call Bob Herbstman at 707-524-2936 or email helpdesk@scoe.org for help before creating a second account. Multiple accounts can create problems in the system. You can find out whether or not you have an account by entering your email address on the Login Assistance page. If you have an account, your login and a temporary password will be emailed to you immediately. After you login to your account, please reset your password.

I forgot my login or password.

If you have an account, but can’t remember your login or password, enter your email address on the Login Assistance page and click on the Submit button. Your login and a temporary password will be emailed to you immediately. After you login to your account, please reset your password.

I haven’t received the email with my login and password.

If you don’t immediately receive the login/password email, request it again and be sure to enter your email address correctly on the Login Assistance page. If you still don’t receive it, check your Spam or Junk folders. If you don’t find the email there, contact helpdesk@scoe.org and your password will be manually reset.

I tried to establish an account, but it said my email was “in use”

This means that you already have an account in our registration system. If you know (or can guess) what your login and password are, go to the Sign In page and enter them in the space provided. If you don't know your login and password, enter your email address on the Login Assistance page and click the Submit button. Your login and a temporary password will be emailed to you immediately. After you login to your account, please reset your password.

I’m trying to register, but someone else’s information is coming up.

This may happen if you are using a shared computer and a previous user did not logout of his/her account. You can logout of that account by going to the My Account page and selecting Logout. After logging out of that account, you will need to Sign In to your own account to complete your registration. If you don’t have an account, you must set one up.

I’ve reached the Class Added to Cart page, but the cart is empty.

Our online registration system requires that your browser be set to accept cookies. If cookies are not enabled, the class cannot be added to the cart and the registration process cannot be completed. To set your browser to accept cookies, look under Tools or Preferences for the security or privacy settings – or see the Help feature on your browser.

I need to cancel my registration.

If you need to cancel your registration, please submit written notification to the registration contact at least five working days prior to the scheduled class to avoid a cancellation fee. You can find the contact information for the class by visiting the My Account section of the website and logging in to your account. Cancellation fees are approximately 30% of the class fee. Refunds are not given for "no shows" or registrations canceled on the day of the class.

I want to register a school team. What login and password do I use?

As the person submitting the registration, you are considered the contact person for the order. Please use your own login and password, even if you are not attending the class yourself. After signing in to your account, you will indicate the number of people you’re registering and whether or not you are attending the class. Note that you will need to enter the name, email address, and school for each person you’re registering.

I want to register someone who doesn’t have an email address.

Our registration system uses email addresses to identify each unique registrant and we ask that you make every effort to obtain actual email addresses for each person you are registering. If you must register someone who does not have an email address, please use their first and last name (no spaces) followed by @nomail. Do not use your own email address for anyone but yourself! Thank you.

I didn’t receive an email confirmation of my registration.

There are a couple of reasons why you might not receive an email confirmation.

  • Your email address could be incorrect in the system. (Please email helpdesk@scoe.org to correct this.)
  • Your email could be filtering/blocking the message. (Check your Spam and Junk folders.)
  • You may be registered as a member of a team. Team registrations are confirmed only to the person who placed the order.

What are SCOE’s registration policies?

Our policies on payments, enrollment, class cancellation, “no shows,” day-of-class registrations, and food service at workshops can be found on this page.

I need additional assistance.

If you still have questions after reviewing the guides provided above and this information page, please call or email the registration contact for the class you want to attend. You may also contact Bob Herbstman, Communications Tech, at helpdesk@scoe.org or (707) 524-2936.
