Expository Reading and Writing Course (ERWC) for Middle School Teachers
Participants will gain the knowledge and acquire the materials required to teach the newly released ERWC modules for seventh and eighth grades.
During this three-day course, teachers will:
- Learn how to integrate the eight middle school modules as part of their own course curriculum
- Learn to engage students in building the crucial literacy skills they need to succeed in college and careers
- Acquire knowledge of what it means to read and write rhetorically at the middle school level
Participation in this series of workshops includes access to ERWC materials for grades 7-8, theoretical understanding of ERWC, module outlines for teachers and students, and strategies for using course materials.
