Sonoma County Office of Education

Ethnic Studies VAPA /STEM Work Group

Join us for this community of practice ( COP) where Elementary Pathways, Dual Language, VAPA and teachers will collaborate in discipline-specific groups to create customized Ethnic Studies lesson plans. The curriculum will address challenges faced in your classrooms, particularly for underrepresented students. Educators will design curriculum to promote equity and inclusion, with opportunities for self-reflection and group discussions on recognizing every student's potential in STEAM. Educators will be able to develop anti-racist, equitable, inclusive, culturally responsive, anti-bias, anti-racist, and socially justice-oriented Ethnic Studies STEAM curriculum.
