Science Olympiad
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Science Olympiad has been canceled. For more details on an alternative Sonoma County science event, click here.
The Science Olympiad is a spirited event that challenges elementary school students in grades 4-6 to demonstrate their science knowledge, understanding, and skill. The Olympiad is a competition, but the emphasis is on having fun and working as a team while doing science-related activities. Student prepare for Olympiad contests through teacher-directed classroom study of life, earth, and physical science. The science facts, concepts, processes, and skills that students learn in their class are applied in the Olympiad events. See the News Release from the 2016 Science Olympiad.
