The Sonoma County Office of Education (SCOE) works closely with local public schools and the Sonoma County Emergency Operations Center in the event of disasters that cause school closures. However, SCOE cannot determine whether a school district should close. Each school district independently decides whether to close, based on local conditions. Any current school closures will be listed here. Note that Sonoma County has 40 public school districts. If you do not see a school or district listed on this page, you should assume that district is following its normal school calendar. Please also note that if you have a child attending a Sonoma County school, you should make sure to keep your contact information up-to-date with the child's school, as schools will directly notify school families of closures.
