Sonoma Quality Counts Pathways Participant Information

Sonoma Quality Counts Pathways is a professional development program that supports Early Learning and Care (ELC) Educators working with young children. The program provides stipends and support to Early Learning and Care professionals working in eligible licensed child care programs who are completing college level classes to obtain Infant/ Toddler units or an Early Childhood Education (ECE) degree or a degree in a related field. A requirement of the program is for participants to apply or hold a CA Child Development Permit, but a Permit may also be an educational goal of the applicant. The program also provides a stipend and support to Early Learning and Care professionals working in a license-exempt setting, such as a Friend, Family Neighbor (FFN), who will complete 10 hours of Professional Development during the course of the program year. Our program aims to raise the quality of child care programs with the ultimate goal being to improve children’s learning and development outcomes. The program is administered by the Child Care Planning Council of Sonoma (CCPC) and is funded by the California Department of Social Services. Participants will receive a scholarship and/or stipend or reimbursement if they successfully complete the program requirements by the specified deadlines. Final stipend amounts may be adjusted based on available funds.

The Sonoma Quality Counts Pathways program is currently being updated for the new 2024-2025 year. Information on eligibility and application process will be posted soon. Our application will open on August 1, 2024.
