Community members who are interested in running for school board are invited to an informative meeting on the roles and responsibilities featuring a panel of Sonoma County school board members. The information session will be held on Tuesday, July 12 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the Sonoma County Office of Education’s Teacher Learning Center, 5340 Skylane Blvd., Santa Rosa, 95403.
Panelists include: Herman G. Hernandez, Sonoma County Office of Education; Rocío Mondragón Reyes, Roseland School District; Joanna Paun, Petaluma City Schools; and Yvonne Kreck, Alexander Valley Union School District.
Sonoma County Superintendent of Schools, Steve Herrington, will share election details including important dates and required forms. Panelists will share their experience with the challenges and best practices of being a school board member. Key questions to ask your school district will be included. There will be time to ask questions during the presentation.
