Long Term English Learner (LTEL) Data

Please see this letter from the CDE regarding the availability of  a student-level data file that identifies EL students in your LEA who were certified as enrolled in CALPADS on the 2020 Census Day (October 7, 2020) and who are considered to be long-term English learners (LTELs) or students “at-risk” of becoming LTELs as defined under California Education Code (EC) Section 313.2. Your LEA should have received this letter as well.

As a reminder, California Education Code 313.2 requires local educational agencies and charter schools to annually notify parents if their child is identified as a LTEL or “at-risk” of becoming LTELs.

EL RISE! has partnered with the Loyola Marymount Center for Equity for English Learners to host multiple EL Master Plan Institutes. Register today!

This spring, Sonoma county LEAs will convene to discuss next steps for implementing the tools shared in these workshops. More information to come soon.

"I like Amarosa because there's a much smaller student count and so teachers can be one-on-one with you. They can actually help you and be one-on-one with you while the class is doing something else. I feel like that's a huge game-changer." - Leilan, Student
