In my zeal to drive home the point that we need to slow down and get curious about the "why" behind our data, I misspoke.  Below is the 2019 calculation for the data on the dashboard for each indicator.  It does indeed reflect that change is calculated by subtracting the current year data from the previous year.  So please disregard that comment.  While one year of data may trigger a districts' eligibility for DA, I would assert that DA eligibility isn't really the conversation we should be having.  Rather, a focus on exploring the data and understanding the "why".

Also a quick reiteration of use of funds for the Low Performing Students Block Grant: The funds are to be utilized for students that are underperforming but do not qualify as unduplicated.  While the funds must be principally directed to this specific group, other students may benefit.  Unlike Title III funds that may ONLY be used for EL students in a supplemental capacity.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this in more detail, please feel free to reach out to me or your CI Director.

All my best,

Rachael
