Centering Multilingual Learners: A Virtual Community of Practice for Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, and Del Norte Educators
This virtual Community of Practice (CoP) is an ongoing opportunity for TK-12 educators to collaborate with and learn from colleagues from across Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt, and Del Norte counties around multilingual learners.
Each session will be focused on a specific topic pertaining to Multilingual Learners, see below for the full schedule. Participants will learn new information, collaborate with role-alike colleagues, and receive tools and resources they can apply directly to their practice.
Meetings will take place virtually from 3:30pm-4:30pm on
- Tuesday, November 5, 2024 - Reclassification
- Tuesday, December 17, 2024- ELPAC
- Thursday, February 6, 2025- Dually Identified Students
- Tuesday, March 25, 2025- Newcomers
- Tuesday, May 6, 2025- Long Term English Learners
