Reporting Restraint & Seclusion Incidents
Join us for an informative session presented by the School & College Legal Services of California, featuring CDE- Special Education Data Support and CALPADS representatives available for the Q&A portion. This training will delve into the annual reporting requirements for mechanical or physical restraint and seclusion incidents, as mandated by AB 2657, effective January 1, 2019. We'll cover the comprehensive reporting obligations for all students, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 plans, and those placed in Non-Public Schools (NPS) by the Local Educational Agency (LEA). This training is an excellent opportunity to: Enhance your skills in managing and reporting restraint and seclusion incidents. Ensure that your documentation and reporting practices align with current legal requirements. Engage with experts to clarify any uncertainties and share best practices with peers.
