Building Thinking Classrooms:
Overview for Site Leaders
Building Thinking Classrooms is a framework of 14 practices that empower teachers to counter the institutional norms and routines that enable 'non-thinking' student behaviors. This session provides site administrators with an overview of Building Thinking Classrooms (BTC), including the what and why of the 14 practices, their alignment with UDL, MTSS, and other site goals. We'll also discuss the order of implementation for these practices, aiding administrators in conducting effective classroom walkthroughs and supporting teachers in integrating BTC into their professional growth goals.
