Teacher Leader Fellowship in Mathematics

Join the Teacher Leadership Fellowship in Mathematics and empower yourself to make a real impact in your school or district! This fellowship offers dedicated time and financial support for teacher leaders to enhance instructional best practices within their school community.

Through monthly meetings—both in-person and virtual—participants will explore topics essential for implementing professional development. These include managing resistance, navigating power dynamics, and crafting effective professional development strategies grounded in adult learning theory.

Additionally, participants will receive personalized support to develop professional development (PD) or community of practice initiatives tailored to their school or district's needs.

Benefits of the Program:

  • Teachers will receive up to six days of substitute coverage. Two of these days are designated for fellowship meetings (Friday, Jan 24 and Wednesday, May 7), while the remaining substitute days can be used for teachers to prepare professional learning for their school or district. NOTE: Schools/districts will be reimbursed for substitute coverage.
  • Teachers will receive up to $250 to purchase classroom materials that support instructional best practices. This could include materials like wipe books for Building Thinking Classrooms, manipulatives, etc.
