Administrators as Leaders: Supporting the Implementation of Engaging UTK Programs
December 11, 8:30am-10:30am at SCOE
District and site administrative leaders are invited to participate in a hands-on, interactive professional learning experience. This introductory session is designed to strengthen leaders’ capacity to partner with UPK/UTK educators in implementing rich, developmentally-informed programs. This learning opportunity will provide a space for district and site administrators to explore the critical role of how play promotes children’s development and learning across the CA Preschool TK Learning Foundations.
We will start in Oak room, then have a breakout room in Redwood A+B. Participants will engage in a hands-on presentation, experience play-based activities aligned with the California Preschool/TK Learning Foundations, and then reflect on how to best support their teachers with implementing developmentally informed classroom practices.
