Sonoma County History/Social Science Teacher Leader Fellowship
We are living and educating through a quickly changing
world and we need history/social science teachers who
can lead the way. During the last few years, California
has implemented a new History/Social Science
Framework, the State Seal of Civic Engagement, and the
Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum. To address all of these
changes, the Sonoma County Office of Education is
creating the History/Social Science Teacher Leader
Fellowship. We are looking for dynamic teachers who
want to help design new learning opportunities for
students in Sonoma County.
Teacher Leader Fellows will:
- Have networking opportunities with teachers from around the county
- Receive a $1500 stipend for their participation
- Hear from dynamic speakers on history/social science content
- Help transform history/social science education in the county
- Develop leadership skills
- Meet monthly Aug-May
The first meeting of the series will held on Aug. 24, 2022
