SCOE Design Lab featured in North Bay Business Journal

08/04/2015 - Update – The August 3 issue of the North Bay Business Journal highlighted SCOE's creation of a new Design Lab and involvement in the creation of a community Maker space in this article. In the article, SCOE Director of Innovations and Partnerships Dan Blake explains how the lab will teach teachers how to use Maker spaces at their own schools. “Some high schools may have 3,000 square feet of former shop space repurposed for a maker lab,” he tells the NBBJ. “We wanted to show how they can use a computer lab and put high-tech to low-tech equipment in it.” A second article featured SCOE's involvement in the creation of a community maker space on Todd Road.
