Leadership Team Changes

07/12/2017 -

On behalf of the SCOE Leadership Team, please see the following announcements taking effect in the 2017-18 school year.

  • Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Dr. Michael Juric has announced his retirement, effective August 25. (Though he will be available for assistance through the end of that month.) A valued member of the Leadership Team, Dr. Juric has provided SCOE with two years of effective and dedicated service.
  • Associate Superintendent John Laughlin, who currently oversees Special Education Services, will assume the leadership and direction of Human Resources Services following Dr. Juric's retirement. A highly qualified individual, Mr. Laughlin has worked at SCOE for six years and is certified by ACSA's Personnel Academy.
  • Principal Mandy Corbin will lead and direct Special Education Services as Interim Assistant Superintendent with the assistance of mentor coaches John Laughlin and Ron Whitman, who have both previously held the position.

The other Leadership Team assignments will remain the same for the 2017-18 school year. Congratulations to Dr. Juric as he moves on to explore opportunities with Rotary International, and welcome to Mr. Laughlin and Ms. Corbin as they enter their new positions within SCOE.
