Step-Up Classes for Middle School Students
SCOE’s Career Technical Education (CTE) department is offering spring and summer Step-Up Classes for middle school students at no cost.
Step-Up Classes are taught by high school CTE teachers in their regular classrooms in half-day sessions that span three to five days. The classes provide an opportunity for middle school students to become oriented to the high school campus, learn about programs available there, and gain hands-on access to a career pathway of interest. Although classes are open to all middle school students, priority is given to students attending middle schools in the area where the class is offered.
Students interested in enrolling in a free Step-Up Class must register in advance. A permission form must also be completed and turned in to the teacher on the first day of class. Students will not be able to participate without a signed permission form.
