Introduction to Lego Mindstorms for Teachers and Volunteers
This introductory activity is designed for teachers and volunteers who plan to work with students in grades 4-8 as part of the 2017 Sonoma County Robotics Challenge. This hands-on session will engage participants in exploring:
- Design and construction using Lego plates, bricks, beams, pins and gears
- Use of touch sensors and light sensors
- Programming with Lego Mindstorm software
These constructive learning activities will incorporate Lego building materials and prepare participants to support student teams in the 2017 Sonoma Robotics Challenge.
