ENVoY: A Personal Guide to Classroom Management

Research shows that 82 percent of teacher communications with students are nonverbal. This training will address the unspoken aspects of classroom communications that enable teachers to win class attention, gain appropriate student behavior, cover more curriculum, make effective transitions, enhance classroom productivity, and discipline with comfort. Teachers who build a repertoire of these techniques find they have much better rapport with their students, including those considered hard to reach. By using ENVoY, teachers find they are more positive and effective in managing their classrooms, and still have energy at the end of the day. The class features hands-on application and practice. Topics include:

  • Utilizing non-verbals in the classroom
  • Building rapport with individuals and the entire class
  • Identifying learning styles and communicating appropriately
  • Basing discipline on student need rather than teacher need
  • Handling stress

“ENVoY has been a classroom management lifesaver! It has done more for me than food, water, vitamins, and exercise!”
—Eloise Lengyel, teacher, Healdsburg Junior High School
