January 19 Session: The Science and Story of NGSS
The Science & Story of NGSS: This dynamic lecture series will immerse K-12 teachers in the experience of science as story, as emphasized in the CA Draft Science Framework. Using storytelling and science history in science classes is strongly encouraged as a pedagogical strategy to increase student engagement and help develop understanding of science themes and the nature of science. These engaging storytelling sessions will model this strategy and provide resources and information teachers can use to create a compelling story arc for NGSS in their own classes. Teachers & administrators may choose to attend a single workshop or both workshops.
