NGSS in the Real World

NGSS in the Real World: Thinking as a Scientist. Designing as a Teacher. An immersive learning experience offered through SCOE in partnership with the California Academy of Sciences.

  • Teachers will experience NGSS-aligned, 3-D lessons relevant to their grade levels.
  • Teachers will practice designing their own NGSS lessons and units
  • Teachers will learn how to utilize exemplary resources from the Academy for lesson and unit design.

When Three-session series:

8:00am - 3:30pm
Location The September 29, 2016 session will be held at SCOE.
The November 3, 2016 session will be at an offsite field location.
The February 2, 2017 session will be held off-site at the California Academy of Sciences.
