Ancient China

4 2 eXplore: Ancient China
When learning something new, it's nice to have more than one resource to explore, so this web project provides "four to eXplore" for each topic. On this page for Ancient China, you'll find definitions, activities, the four good starting points for learning, along with many additional links and resources for students to explore.

Mr. Donn’s Ancient China
Teachers Don and Lin Donn generously share their own social studies and literature lessons. They have also searched the Web far and wide to bring together an amazing collection of classroom ideas, lesson plans, full curriculum units, student sites, and general information sites.

Mr. Dowling's Electronic Passport
Students can travel through time and space at Mr. Dowling's Electronic Passport site. Informational sections cover cultures and regions across all continents and Teacher Downloads include study guides, quizzes, and tests that are free for teachers to use and even edit. The section on Chinese History includes dynasties, Confucius, Legalists, the Great Wall, the Silk Road, and more, but it is one of the few sections that doesn’t have teacher downloads available yet. Note: This site has banner ads and pop-up windows.

Leilan, Student
"I like Amarosa because there's a much smaller student count and so teachers can be one-on-one with you. They can actually help you and be one-on-one with you while the class is doing something else. I feel like that's a huge game-changer." - Leilan, Student
